About Dr. Fisher
Harris graduated from the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC. His passion for Chinese medicine led him to advanced clinical training in China, including internships at Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, affiliated hospitals of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and most recently at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine under Dr. Huang Huang.
He also completed advanced studies with the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine with the gifted instruction, Arnaud Versluys, earning the designation of Diplomate in Canonical Chinese Medicine. These experiences provided Harris with a strong foundation in classical theory, holistic diagnostics, and evidence-informed clinical practice.
As a clinician, Harris brings twenty years of experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, treating a wide range of health concerns. He has extensive expertise in reproductive and hormonal health, including fertility support, pelvic pain, menstrual and menopausal regulation, and thyroid and autoimmune conditions. Harris also works with complex or chronic conditions that have been challenging to resolve with conventional approaches. He develops individualized treatment plans grounded in classical Chinese medicine, combining technical skill in acupuncture and herbal formulation with compassionate, patient-centered care.
Outside of clinical practice, Harris contributes to the advancement of Chinese medicine in British Columbia through licensing exam development, program audits, and regulatory initiatives. His research experience includes clinical studies in acupuncture for vulvar pain, stress and fertility, and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy.
When not in the clinic, Harris enjoys life on the West Coast with his wife and son, taking every opportunity to explore the outdoors together.
